SUSTAINING VIRTUAL LIBRARY ARCHIVAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN NIGERIA: CHALLENGES AND PROSPECTS

Abstract

Over the years, the use of physical structures for library has been the norm globally. In recent times, the world is moving from physical library system towards virtual library system. There is a need to sustain the Virtual Library Archival Management system in order to secure the future. The research methodology approach used in this paper is doctrinal. The paper examined the challenges of sustaining a virtual library for the sake of the future and the prospects of sustaining same in view of global cybersecurity challenges. The paper ends with recommendations towards maintaining effective virtual library archival system that can be handed down from one generation to another.
